Thank you for your interest in TUBHA. We are honored that you feel called to pursue this journey of ancestral healing and botanical medicine. Please read the following carefully before submitting your application.
Before You Apply
Admission to TUBHA is not automatic. Each application is reviewed individually to ensure that every student who joins our community is genuinely prepared and aligned with the values, rigor, and spirit of this program. We are intentional about who we welcome into this space and that intentionality is what makes TUBHA exceptional.
Application Requirements & Process
Application Fee
A non-refundable application fee of $30.00 is required at the time of submission. This fee is required for your application to be considered and will not be refunded under any circumstances, including withdrawal of application or denial of admission.
Review Period
Please allow 2 to 4 weeks for your application to be reviewed. You will not receive status updates during the review period. All decisions will be communicated via the email address provided on your application.
Virtual Interview
Some applicants may be required to complete a virtual interview as part of the admissions process. If an interview is required, you will be contacted at the email address provided to schedule a time. Interviews are conducted by Prof. Yvette Nathalie Brown, Founder and Director of TUBHA.
Tuition & Enrollment
Students who are offered admission to TUBHA and choose to accept their place in the program will be required to pay a one-time tuition fee of $400.00 to enroll. This tuition covers the University's complete African Herbalism core curriculum, including all required courses from African Herbalism 101 through African Herbalism 401.
Accepted applicants have 72 hours from the date their official acceptance letter is issued to formally accept their offer of admission and submit their tuition payment. Failure to do so within the allotted timeframe may result in the offer of admission being withdrawn, and applicants may be required to reapply during a future admissions cycle.
Students accepted into TUBHA are enrolled as African Herbalism majors, and successful completion of the core curriculum is required for graduation. In addition to the required coursework, students may request enrollment in specialty courses designed to expand their knowledge in specific areas of botanical and healing arts. Enrollment in specialty courses is subject to approval by the Office of Admissions and carries an additional tuition fee of $100.00 per course.
Once tuition has been paid, students receive lifetime access to their enrolled coursework, allowing them to learn at their own pace and revisit course materials whenever needed.
Admission Decision
All applicants will receive a formal decision letter via email. You will be notified whether you have been accepted or are not being admitted at this time. Accepted students will receive an official TUBHA acceptance letter with instructions for enrollment and next steps.
Reapplication
Applicants who are not admitted are welcome to reapply in a future admission cycle. The $30 application fee is required for each new application submitted.
What We Are Looking For
We welcome students from all backgrounds and experience levels. You do not need prior herbalism knowledge to apply. What matters most to us is your genuine curiosity, your willingness to learn, your respect for ancestral knowledge, and your commitment to showing up for this work.
